Hey Everyone! I hope you all are having an AMAZING day! I wanted to take today to talk to my golfers out there! As most of you know I am a MAJOR golfer. I have played thousands of golf courses all over the United states, thanks to being a former collegiate golfer, playing in professional golf tournaments, and ME just being that person who I always have my golf clubs no matter where I am traveling. So today i decided to write about my top 10 golf courses in Arizona that I LOVE playing on. Keep in mind I love playing on more of these local courses, but had to choose a few, or otherwise this list would go on for DAYS!!! LITERALLY! So without further ado, lets get started!
West Valley favorites:
1) Sundance Golf club: PAR:72 and if playing from the tips course yardage is: 6944
This course I love because no matter what it always gives you a nice challenge. You can’t hit driver off of every hole, and I love this course, because I feel it really helps you work on your course management here. The course is located in Buckeye,AZ, and is ALWAYS kept in great shape! The greens are wonderful to practice on, as they are super fast, and have tricky undulations within the green, and around the course. (Sundance golf course)
2) Wigwam Golf Resort: Par 72 on all 54 holes course yardage: Heritage course:6852,Gold Course: 7430, Patriot Course:6000
Each of these courses all give you something different. I enjoy playing all three courses here at the wigwam. Plus the wigwam resort has great practice facility.(pictured below)
3)Palm Valley Golf Course: PAR:72 and if playing from tips course yardage is: 7015
When I lived in the West valley I played this course ALL the TIME. I actually kind of was the only women to became apart if the Mens golf club here, because I played here so much.I loved playing golf with those gentlemen, they were always a blast. I played in a few golf tournaments with them. So if you are looking for a mens golf club to join, i recommend joining Palm valleys.
Now, this course is a fun one. for the most part it is a pretty straight forward course, with not too major of things happening on this course. I would describe it as long and straight. Every now and then you will see a SLIGHT dog leg, but overall it is a great course to play if you are ever in the west valley. (palm valley shown below)
Next, we are moving to some of my favorites to golf in the PHOENIX area.
4) Papago Golf Course: Par 72 Yardage: 7333
When I played this course, it really fit my eye. I loved how this course layout was, and it was equally a challenge, just as mush as it was fun! You will come across some undulation, and blind tee shots, but to me, i love courses that gives you some challenge. I mean think about it, wouldn’t you get bored playing an easy course over and over again?(Papago shown below)
5)Stone Creek Golf club: PAR 72 Course Yardage: 6871
I love playing at Stone creek. Their course and practice facility is my favorite. The course to me is a straight forward course, with creeks , hence the name stone creek all along the course. When playing you will come across some dog legs.(Stone creek pictured below)
6)Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club: Par 70 Course yardage: 6313.
This course is a very fun links course. I love coming to play out here, as its tree lind, and just everything you want in my opinion. This is a relatively short course with the tips playing at roughly 6313 yards, but totally worth coming to experience this gem.
7)Look out Mountain Golf Club: Par72 and course yardage is 6515
I have played this course so much as am never disappointed. They have a great practice facility: driving range, putting green, and chipping area. They always keep the course in really good shape. It is a very fun but challenging course. Good course to play to work on course management.
8)Wildfire Golf Club Palmer course: Par72 course yardage 7145.
This course is made up of 36 holes all together. One course created by Arnold Palmer, and the other 18 holes created by Nick Faldo, and it home to the LPGA Founders Cup. I have only played the palmer course everytime I come play, and I absolutely LOVE it! Its fun to play on courses that some of my golf role models played on, and overall its a FUN course to play.
9)Orange Tree Golf Club Par 72 Course Yardage:6775
I love playing here. The course layout is super fun, and they also have a great practice facility.
10)Dove Valley Par:72 course yardage: 7011
This is a LONG course if played from the tips, but overall this course is a fun course to play along with the great views. It also has a great practice facility as well.
These are my top 10 golf courses that you will 9/10 catch me playing and/or practicing at ALL the time. I wanted to share my favorite in Arizona as I feel they each provide nice amenities for working on your game, and getting it top notch! Hope to see you on the course!
